Advanced methods of surface topography evaluation
Šindelka, Marek ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on a measuring and topography of a components´ surface evaluation and it contains the overview of basic methods which includes the description of contact and non-contact measuring devices. Furthermore, the thesis also describes ways of surface texture evaluation through profiled and areal method, including an outline of ČSN ISO parameters. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of metric threads´ M10 surface, crafted by diverse cutting and forming threads. The surface was scanned with the optical device called Alicona IFM G5 and it was evaluated through the profiled and areal method. The 2D and 3D parameters were acquired and then compared during the measuring.
Quality measurement of analog and digital terrestrial television broadcasting
Zach, Ondřej ; Polák, Ladislav (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the description of basic features of the analog and digital television broadcasting and suggestion of a method for objective video quality evaluation at both broadcasting types. The base of this thesis is description of picture broadcast technology in analog and digital form. Also principles of some video quality evaluation metrics are described. In this thesis, a method for video quality comparison is suggested, including a verifying of this method. According to this method, sequences at changing broadcasting conditions were recorded for both broadcasting types. The quality factors of these sequences were computed and on the basis of these factors, the analog and digital TV broadcasting were compared.
Methods and Metrics For Software Usability Measurement

The thesis resumes the definitions of quality from different sources and quality models according to available standards. It also describes usability in detail and methods and metrics for its measurement and analyses current situation in this field. In the thesis the tool for measuring usability of desktop software products was designed and implemented.
VoIP Traffic Monitoring and Management in OnePK Enabled Networks
Antolík, Dávid ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
The main goal of this master's thesis is to apprise of principles of Cisco One Platform Kit based on software defined networks and with monitoring techniques in that type of networks. The focus is concentrated on monitoring the quality of Voice over IP communication. Next part of this thesis is a proposal and implementation of the extensible monitoring environment OneMon on the Cisco One Platform Kit. It is possible to extend OneMon environment using specific analyzers to monitor various types of network traffic. The part of this master's thesis is also implementation of VoIP traffic analyzer for SIP and RTP protocols. This analyzer provides information about phone calls and their quality in a monitored segment of a computer network.
